How is oil formed?
Oil is formed by the remains of bio degrated organic materials such as the remains of animals and plants.
Is oil a renewable or non renewable resource?
Most energy is non renewable wich means it can't be reproduced
How is oil used?
After it is removed from the ground, oil is sent to a refinery. When it is refined, it produces about 19.9 gallons of gasoline.
Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages: cleaner and easier to burn than coal, relatively cheap and can last quite a long time
Disadvantages: expensive to run, the nuclear waste is highly toxic
Where is oil found most abundantly?
It's found most abundantly in oil feilds.
Are there any harmful effects to the earth during the process of collecting or harnessing oil?
Yes pollution and destruction.
