Dear Parents of 9th-11th graders,

You are invited to drop off all of your textbooks and library books during one of the following dates/times that work for you. Drop off will be in the front circle drive, and no one will need to get out of the vehicle. We hope to keep the line moving quickly since this is only a drop off and not a pickup of any kind.

Tuesday, May 26th between 8-11 am

If your child has lost or damaged the books, please contact your child's teacher to get the cost of the book(s). Payments for lost books can be made online here.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

The purpose of this month is to remove the stigma and to open the conversation about mental health. Check out the You Are Not Alone campaign and the Mental Health Month Tool Kit for some great resources to help you speak up and manage your mental wellness. This is also a good time to remind you that tele-counseling resources are available. If your student is struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or feels isolated during this time, please call or email your student’s school counselor (insert your counselor(s) contact info here). They will help link you and your student to the right virtual support. You can also visit FBISD’s COVID-19 Social-Emotional Support website for more mental health and self-care resources along with the weekly Behavioral Health and Wellness Parent Newsletter (Spanish).”
Fort Bend ISD Behavioral Health & Wellness Information

FBISD has tele-counseling resources for students district-wide.

Technology- Early Device Return Procedure

Should a student withdraw, or family no longer needs loaner technology devices, they should be returned to any one of the Repair Depots located at the front of Austin, Dulles or Elkins High School. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am – 3:30pm. No appointment is necessary. The parent will be asked to open the device to inspect for damages.

Free Resources for College Admissions Test Prep

Snap & Read

Attached below is information that outlines how students can install Snap and Read on their devices (computer or phone). Snap and Read is a text to speech tool that reads aloud written text. It works well within Schoology and when accessing webpages. It reads PDF text as well. Snap and Read installs easily and would be a great support for students who require oral administration or struggle with decoding.
