A message from our principal
Honor Mary in May. The month of May is the "month which the devotion of the faithful has especially dedicated to Our Blessed Lady. She was a life-giving caregiver for our Savior, and she remains so today.
She represents the fullness of holiness, for she was conceived without sin and was assumed into heaven because of her special role in our salvation. She serves as an example for all of us to say “yes” in practical ways to God’s spirit of goodness.
We will honor Our Mother at our weekly school Mass this Thursday, May 4. Because it is also Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the crowning of Mary will take place at the beginning of Mass.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. —1 Peter 4:10
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve

Casual for a Cause to benefit St. John the Evangelist in Emory
Over the weekend, St. John the Evangelist in Emory, Texas, was hit by a tornado. You can see the damage here.
We must do our part to help. On Wednesday, May 3, for $2, students and teachers/staff may wear non-uniform dress to help with recovery. Everyone is welcome to donate whatever they wish above that amount.
This is about who we are---reaching out to those who are in need. Please be as generous as you have in the past.
We need donations!
The Dads' Club needs donations for the 11th Annual Golf Classic, for the raffle and various prizes. Golf equipment, gift cards, a bottle of nice whiskey, fishing and hunting equipment, and various other items are greatly appreciated. Please email George Salerno with any donations.
Slated for May 12 at Waterchase Golf Club, it will be a fun Friday of fairways and fellowship. Click here to sign up your team, be a sponsor, or donate items for prizes and giveaways, or contact holyfamilydadsclub@gmail.com for more information.
Band Instruments Needed. Here's a chance to find a home for that ukulele your husband bought in college, or the drums a crazy aunt bought your kids for Christmas a few years ago. Donate them to HFCS! We are accepting any and all musical instruments for next year's band classes. Please contact Ms. Bernal for more information. Band Instrument Selection Night is May 10, so we ask for all donations to be submitted by this time. Thank you for your generosity!
Thank you!
The teachers are enjoying the wonderful breakfast spread and gift cards awarded this morning, and look forward to all of the wonderful treats in store for the week! Thank you to Ann Bjelland and all who are helping make Teacher Appreciation Week such a lovely time.
You may notice the banner on the front of the school, which is a product of John Sons Press, and John Flores. Click here to visit the website, and see how they can help with all of your printing and signage needs!
