Long Advisory: Fri March 6 is a long advisory/no enrich afternoon to provide additional prep time for Q3 SLCs.
Summer Session: Team Pirates! Let's think summer! 1) Anyone interested in teaching summer session, please notify Anzelc prior to break! It will take place the last 3 weeks of June 8-12:00. 2) Please complete the suggested summer session student list by April 1. Students selected for summer session will have to meet the requirement of benefitting from both math and English support. Summer session is a mix of a) review of concepts , b) preview of ones to come in the beginning of the year, and c) fun factor and relationship building. The list is here.
PARENTS & FAMILIES:
- LCAP Stakeholder Meeting: We want to hear your thoughts about our schools in person! You are invited to our Parent/Family LCAP (Local Control and Accountability) Engagement meeting Tue March 10 where we will sit down and talk about what makes our schools great and what else we can do in the future to make them even better. Please join us on March 10 at 6pm in the library at the NP3 Del Paso Road Campus. Students, staff, parents and family members are all invited. Snacks will be provided and we will have childcare available for your little ones.
- Student Intent To Return Forms: Student intent to return forms are going to home with students Mon March 2 and are due back Fri March 6. If you lost your copy click here for a 6th/7th grade form and click here for an 8th grade form.
- Leadership Day: May 22 is Leadership Day! This day is special and unique in celebrating and highlighting our student's leadership skills and amazing community through activities and showcasing action teams! This year we want to add small businesses and youth-based programs to participate in our celebration! If you or someone you know would like to participate in a booth, please have them email rclark@natomasunified.org.
- Multicultural Festival: We're on the way to our annual multicultural festival and not only should this date be saved because it's an awesome K-12 event of celebrating each other, but we'd love your help and participation! STUDENTS! Come and join in sharing a talent or in the fashion show! PARENTS! That's right! We have spaces available for adults to come and help out - there are a variety of options! The multicultural festival is scheduled for Fri Mar 6 5:00pm-8:00pm on the MS/HS campus. Contact Ms. Anzelc for more information at lanzelc@natomasunified.org.
- Q3 Conferences: Our Q3 student lead conferences will be held the week of March 9-13. Mon-Wed dismissal time will be 12:59. Thurs-Fri dismissal time will be 12:11. Students will be off for Spring Break following conference week Mon March 16- Fri March 27. School will resume on Mon March 30.
- Q3 Spirit Week!!!: Our Q3 Spirit Week is coming your way next week! Mon March 2 is Denim Day; Tue March 3 is Style Swap Day; Wed March 4 is Celebrity Squad/Duo Day; Thurs March 5 is Sports Day and Fri March 6 is Culture Day. Click here to see examples. Students who are not participating in Spirit Week must be in dress code.
- 3D Modeling Club Contest: The 3D Modeling Club is hosting a contest this week for all students. Students are encouraged to draw an object from their life that is important to them (examples: air-pods, cellphone, etc.) and turn it into Mr. Thurston's room March 2-6. Club members will judge the entries and award the winners.
- Pizza and Ice Drink Sale: Student Government is selling pizza after school on Thurs March 12 in the quad.
- Natomas 5k: Save the date! Sat April 25 NP3 will participate by running/walking in the Natomas 5k "Run for Their Future" at Inderkum HS. ALL NP3 students will be sponsored. Click here to register your student for free and use the promo code "NP320" when checking out. If you would prefer us to register your student click here and turn this in to your teacher or front office staff. If you would like to run with your student, there is a fee per runner/walker. This is a fun community event for all ages and the proceeds will be used by the Natomas Foundation to help students within the Natomas community. We hope to see you there!
