A Message from Dr. Bearden...
Thank you for taking the time to read the Hilltop Happening this week. I hope that you have had a great week and are ready for the weekend. We have heard from several parents how much the students have enjoyed more live interactions with their teachers. As well, our daily morning announcements are a BIG hit with families! If you have not seen the announcements, use this link to start watching SHE Morning Announcements Monday thru Friday!
As we close out the month of April, we have a lot of planning to do with end of the year activities. We are working on some alternatives for our traditional end of the year activities such as: field day, Wax Museum, Career Day, End of Year parties, Class of 2020 Senior Walk, and 5th grade celebration activities. In addition, we are bringing back the SHE Talent Show.
There is information below for Career Day and Talent Show. Please take the time to scroll down and read this important information. We will continue to keep you up to date with how the end of the year will unfold virtually as we have that information.
We are also working on a plan for parents to pick up student belongings, yearbooks, etc. As well, we know that parents may need to return items such as library books, etc. Our plan will be finalized and shared as soon as possible.
I also wanted to let you know that other staff members, who are not teachers, such as Carol Shenk, Front Office, Kimberly Thompson, Clinic Aide, and others are checking in on the students through Seesaw and Teams. We ALL miss the children and commenting on Seesaw and joining Teams meetings helps our support staff to also feel connected to the students.
SHE Shares for May: Please consider donating to the event below and help support our Milton Community: The Young Men’s Service League- Milton Chapter will be hosting a “Pop-up Food Pantry” on Friday, May 1, 2020 11-2pm at Bell Memorial Park (parking lot) in the City of Milton.
Community Donations, including grocery store gift cards, may be dropped off at Bell Park the same day from 10-11am. Bell Memorial Park Address: 15245 Bell Park Dr, Milton, GA 30004
That is all from me this week! Thank you for reading and your continued encouragement for our teachers! We are partners and we share a deep love for your child(ren)! On behalf of SHE staff, we pledge to continue to provide you with resources, lessons, activities, and we will do it without fail! Please let us know when you need help, support, encouragement, etc. We will let you know when we need the same!
Please reach out if you have any questions or anything to share. Take care, Lorrie
