It's a Blessing to Be a Blessing
Hello Centennial Family.
767 million people around the world live on less than $2 per day. For those living in extreme poverty, many don’t have access to a sustainable income or basic necessities.
Did you know that the shoes you no longer want could create jobs for people in developing countries? Your shoes can help people in developing nations start and sustain their own small businesses!
We’re excited to announce that we have joined forces with the nonprofit Soles4Souls and are launching our own shoe drive to collect 250 pairs of shoes to help break the cycle of poverty.
For the month of November, please bring your new or used shoes of any kind to the donation boxes in the Office.
Since 2006, Soles4Souls has distributed more than 50 million pairs of shoes in 129 countries and are a four-star charity as rated by Charity Navigator. Soles4Souls utilizes new and gently used shoes as a resource to help entrepreneurs in developing nations with an opportunity to start and sustain small businesses (a micro-enterprise) of their own. Learn more at https://soles4souls.org/.
Soles4Souls | Turning shoes and clothing into opportunity.
At Soles4Souls, we turn unwanted shoes and clothing into opportunity, by keeping them from going to waste and putting them to good use - providing relief, creating jobs and empowering people to break the cycle of poverty.

New Changes to Purchasing Tickets for Student Activities and Sporting Events
District Moves to Cashless Ticketing System
November 18, 2021 - The Columbus City Schools Office of Student Activities is excited to announce a new online ticket purchasing process that is convenient and easy to use. Starting with this winter sports season, the District will move to a cashless ticketing system.
Spectators wishing to attend a CCS high school ticketed sporting event will be required to purchase tickets online in advance of the contest.
Using a mobile phone, computer, or laptop device, individuals wishing to attend an event can access the Local Level platform, type the school name in the search box, and get a populated list of sporting events for which tickets can be purchased. Once purchased, tickets can be printed or scanned at the door right from your mobile phone.
This will allow for a contact-free, COVID-friendly entrance process. In addition, all guests will be required to wear a mask at all CCS athletic events and adhere to all health protocols issued by the District.
