Leadership Traits

. Unselfishness- by choosing to live a life of poverty to help those who are diseased and struggling in life

. Initiative- by leaving by choice at the age of 18 to join a community of Irish nuns, and forming the Missionaries of Charity to make a difference in the world and its people

. Determination- even when she was poorly ill she still wanted to help people and not focus on only herself

Leadership Style: Paternalistic

Mother Teresa was a paternalistic leader because she truly cared about the struggling people as she helped them and became a role model to many others who looked up to her and her amazing acts of kindness.

Contributions to the World

Founding the Missionaries of Charity- gave free service to the even the poorest of people, began to educate unschooled children from run down areas in Calcutta, India, cared for the dying and ill (such as lepers), ran elementary schools, opened a home for orphans, home for AIDS patients, and spread out to help other cities and countries and their people all around the world
