Reading Marathon Results
The Library and the Physical Education department teamed up to sponsor the first Reading Marathon. Students documented their independent reading throughout one week. Eighth period Physical Education classes came in first place. Third period Physical Education classes earned second place. Thank you to all of the participants.
3-D Printers in the Library
The Library now includes two 3-D printers to support Technology electives. Come by and see students' projects being built. They are creating practical items such as cell phone holders and bag clips.
Make your Rebecca Caudill vote count
The Rebecca Caudill vote takes place February 13-17th. Students who have read three or more books from the list can vote and represent Wood Oaks in this statewide program
Do you Love Rollercoasters?
Sixth graders, Read-to-Succeed forms are due in the Library on February 15th. Don't miss out on your chance to have your independent reading rewarded. Sixth graders who read for six or more hours by February 15th and complete and turn in the necessary form will qualify for a Great America ticket!
Students provide Great Book Recommendations
Thank you to all the students who offer book recommendations to classmates. Hearing about books from classmates allow students to share their love of books and their friends to enjoy a great new read. If any students want to be involved in a book club during lunch, please see Mrs. Cronin.
