The Hall Way...
Hello Northwood families!
It is hard to believe that we are in the last two weeks of second quarter. We appreciate your support in encouraging your student to keep working hard, ask questions when they need help, and finish the quarter strong.
This month we are focusing on It's Groovy to Appreciate Each Other. Last week in PRIDE groups we discussed what it looks like to be someone who can be counted on and how important it is to appreciate the people we count on. The groups discussed how there are many people in our community that we count on, especially this year during the pandemic. Students were given an Appreciation Challenge where whey were asked to create a drawing/sign or a thank you video for our the community members that we count on...healthcare workers, teachers, first responders, grocery store workers, etc. We would love to put a video together to thank these very important community members. Please help us by reminding your student to submit their drawing or video to the link below. This link was sent to our students on Friday and we will send it out again to them this week as well.
Please never hesitate to ask for help. Our teachers, social workers, nurse, staff, and administration are here to help. Give our office a call at 815-338-4900 and we will get you connected. Warhawks take care of each other and we are here to work together and support each other.
