Living and Learning with Respect
Wednesday 22nd May 2018
Thank you
A huge THANK YOU to all our parents and grandparents who support our school in so many ways; helping at Discovery / Friday Electives, PMP, on the PTA, on the Board of Trustees, in class parent help, sports coaches, giving of resources, supporting our fundraisers. We are really, truly appreciative of your help.
Report from Sports Captain, Michael
During lunch time the Houses have been playing House Basketball. 4 games have been played so far. The games are 5 minutes each way and is 3 a side. Teams have different year groups so the teams are fair. Points are given for a win and also player of the match. This week's games will be played Thursday lunchtime.
Winter Sports
Basketball, Hockey and Netball games are now in full swing. Our coaches give up their time to take practices and to be there to support their teams on game day / afternoon / evening and as a school, we stand behind the decisions they make for their teams. Please talk to your child about being part of a team and the commitment they made when they signed up as part of that team. This means turning up for practices, on time and with the right gear; it means turning up for games, prepared to play regardless of the weather; it means supporting team mates; and respecting and listening to the coach at all times.
Letter to Ollie's Grandparents
The blocks are Ka pai!
A very proud Ollie!
Canterbury Clothing Order
A reminder to have orders in to school by Friday.
School Uniform
The first order for our new shirts has been sent away but we will be making orders on a semi regular basis to ensure we have shirts in a variety of sizes at all times. The shirts will only be available through school. We appreciate that the cost is on the high side but they are hard wearing and generous fit that will mean there shouldn't be too many replacement shirts needed. We do anticipate building a small stock of second hand shirts over time as well.
Stratford High School Open Evening
All Year 8 students and their families are invited to an open evening at Stratford High School next week - 30 May 5pm -7pm.
There will be a tour around the school and prospectus, enrolment packs and scholarship information will be available. Supper and spot prize draws will follow. Year 7 students are also welcome to attend.
May we please have all outstanding chocolate money returned.
