7th Grade ACTS Newsletter
April 16th - 20th, 2018
Science - Mrs. Sexton
We are finishing up with our study of genetics. We had tentatively scheduled our test for Tuesday, but we will probably postpone the test until Thursday or Friday. Students currently have some Study Island lessons that will be due on Tuesday. These may be found in their Google Classroom accounts. Students not going on the Carowinds field trip were allowed to work on this in class on Friday. Others will need to do it by Tuesday.
Math - Mr. Smith
7th grade math students are finishing up their first chapter on statistical analysis (chapter 14). Students are learning that statistics are a lot more than mean, median and mode. I am planning on having our chapter 14 test on Wednesday (the 1/2 day).
Wednesday, April 18th is a half day!
Drama - Mrs. Keenan
Very happy to have had a successful production Thursday night! Drama Focus really did a wonderful job of working as an ensemble and portraying characters. I am so proud of them! And special thanks to our 7th grade Rotation class who assisted with tech positions on lights and curtains, and also helped facilitate programs and concessions!
Well done! :)
Social Studies - Mr. Creswell
We will finish up our study of Middle East conflicts and have a quiz. We will have a test covering what we've learned about India, Africa and the Middle East. Out next topic of study will be womens rights.
Thanks for a Wonderful Field Trip!
l must take a moment and say thank you to the parents and students on the 7th grade bus for Friday's field trip. The students did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and no problems were reported. I know it was the quietest bus that I have ever ridden.
Thanks to everyone for an amazing day!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sexton
