- This Wednesday's Cadre Meeting will focus on executing the Lesson Cycle. Specific details will be sent out on Monday or Tuesday.
- Please remember to work with the Academic Team in planning your Floating PD Day. Please send Ryan a copy of your agenda.
- Environmental Charter HS s is hosting a Green Ambassadors Institute on 11/7/15, focused on bringing educators and organizers to explore the intersections of environmental + social justice + service learning. This is en excellent Professional Development opportunity to learn about how to engage students in environmental service learning projects for their own community. DEADLINE APPROACHING - Mayor Riordan’s Foundation is again offering the 2015-16 Recreational Reading Mini-Grant where Pre-K-5 teachers submit wish list of book titles up to $1,000 for their classroom libraries. Last year a number of ICEF teachers were awarded books.

Many Celebrations This Week!
- Cheers to our School Site SPED Teams and Student Services for making progress towards ensure that all our IEP's are in compliance by the 10/30 Deadline! We were commended by the LAUSD COP office!
Last Wednesday saw the 4th Annual ICEF Elementary Rugby Cup. (photos below) All 5 ICEF elementary schools, Lou Dantzler, View Park, ICEF Innovation, ICEF Vista & ICEF Inglewood participated. ICEF Scholars had an excellent time!
On Wednesday, Oct. 14 free tickets (and when possible free buses!) were provided to 150 View Park, Lou Dantzler and ICEF Vista Middle Schools to attend a matinee performance of The Sound of Music at the Ahmanson Theater. The kids had a great time! (Pictures below!)
On Friday, Oct. 16, View Park Elementary Classes were able to attend a neon dance version of The Ugly Duckling at the Wallis Center in Beverly Hills. Students/school sites did not have to pay a penny out of pocket!
Cheers to the ICEF Team who helped put together the draft petition for the LDPMS Charter Renewal, especially Blanca Hernandez, Lauren Townsend and Enrique Robles. We appreciate you!
