Math Talk w/Salyer
Teaching kids to think critically is a key to success in and out of the classroom. This article is just a quick reminder of ways to teach in a way that promotes critical thinking.
AVID
Have you done a Philosophical Chair with your students? Here are some topics my AVID students wrote to help get the conversations started:
· Students should organize their binder in whatever way works for them.
· A planner is a waste of time.
· We should have more dress up days each year.
· Teachers should allow students to eat candy in class.
· Students can create the seating chart by choosing their own seat.
You may be surprised which side they choose!
