Today the forms for the class picture went home. Please pull those out and send them with your child on Wednesday if you would like to buy a picture.
The blow pops were postponed to March 22 due to the Critter Parade and all the kinder traffic.
Next Friday, Dr Seuss Day, your child may dress like any character from one of his books. They may also simply wear a Dr Seuss t-shirt if they have one. It is for fun. No pressure on this at all. We will probably have some fun activities in our classroom too.
We loved having Mrs. Gibson come and share all about maps with us. She even made us custom maps and left them with us to study and explore. Thank you for taking time out of your busy work schedule to share with us!
We thoroughly enjoyed the author visit this morning. He discussed some of his art techniques and shared some of his new books with us.
We also loved learning from a parent in Ms King's room all about good dental hygiene. We were shocked about plaque, not flossing and getting a hole in our teeth! We were all given a new tooth brush and a fun squishy to take home.
Have a great weekend!
April McGhee
WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
LANGUAGE ARTS-We began looking and comparing elements of fairy tale, folk tales and fables. We are enjoying Cinderella stories from all over the world.
SOCIAL STUDIES-We are still learning about continents, landforms, and maps.
SCIENCE-We are learning about weather, what makes it, how it impacts our life and how it changes.
