Welcome Back to School!
It was a great week at Lincoln as we welcomed students back to school! The children are already building routines and working hard in the classroom.
Dismissal has gone great the first couple of days. If you use the Alchester pick-up, remember that there are a number of driveways that belong to the manor homes. Please allow the residents to get in and out of their driveways. Also, if you park on one of the side streets on the north end of the building, please be sure to keep all four vehicle tires on the roadway. We want to be good neighbors and respect everyone's landscaping.
If your child's regular dismissal procedures change, please be sure to contact their teacher and alert them to the change. We want to make sure each child gets home safely and communicating any changes will help.
Please take note of our upcoming Curriculum Night (information given below). I strongly encourage all parents to join us for the opportunity to learn important building information, as well as have the chance to listen to teachers give an overview of this year's curricular expectations and classroom procedures. Parents will also have the opportunity to sign up for a Parent-Teacher Conference. Conferences will take place on November 5th and 7th from 4-8 PM. Some teachers will also be available on October 30th. I look forward to seeing you all at Curriculum Night!
Curriculum Night: Wednesday, August 28th

5:30pm: Teacher presentations in classrooms

6:45pm: Presentation for Grades K-2 in the Main Gym
7:15pm: Teacher presentations in classrooms

7:45pm: Parents Dismissed
Important Reminders:
Children will be allowed on school grounds at 9:00 AM. Please do not leave students unattended on school property before 9:00 AM. A parent must be present with children before 9:00 AM. Staff supervision will begin at 9:00 AM until the school entrance bell at 9:10 AM.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed on school grounds. You are welcome to walk with pets to school, but we kindly ask that you keep all pets off school grounds, which includes the field on the south end of the campus.
Student drop-off and pick-up is prohibited along our main drive. You are welcome to drop-off and/or pick-up your child at the corner of Chase and Dawes on the north end of the building, or use Alchester on the south side of the building. Redirecting traffic to those areas will help keep children safe before and after school.
Please continue to remember to call your child in sick on the school phone number, 630-682-2075, or the Attendance line, 630-682-2243. This will help our staff in making sure that all children are safe and accounted for.
