Paying Textbook/Supply Fees:
Textbook and supply fees are due by September 15, 2022.
If you wish to pay by credit card, you can pay your child(ren)s fees online via Skyward Family Access > Fee Management > Make a Payment. Payments are made via E-Funds. Be sure to select the student you want to pay for, if you have more than one child at Center Grove Schools.
Exact cash or check may be sent in to the MGES Office and a receipt will be sent home with your student.
Payment arrangements are not necessary. If you need to make payments on your account you may do so throughout the school year. Full payment must be made by the last day of school. Kinum collections fees are added each Spring for remaining balances on accounts regardless of the amount left to pay.
If you need assistance with fees, forms may be filled out via Skyward Family Access > Food Service > Applications. Prior school year assistance applications expire September 15 and all accounts go to PAID on this date. Fill out this form asap to avoid problems with assistance.
PERMISSION TO SEND DEVICES HOME:
In order for your child to transport his/her school issued device between home and school, the following form must be completed for each of your students. Click HERE for the form.

STUDENT INFORMATION UPDATE:
At the start of each school year, the corporation opens up a section of Skyward Family Access called Back to School Forms. Please be sure to log in to Skyward and complete these forms.
If you have any change of information for a student at Maple Grove - this could be a change of address, moved out of our boundaries, change of family dynamic, change of custody situation, etc - we need those updates as soon as possible. We need to have the most current and updated details for our students in Skyward. If you have any questions or need help with updates, contact Mrs. George in the school office, georgej@centergrove.k12.in.us or 317-881-0561.
BOOKSTORE CHANGES:
The MGES Bookstore sells student supplies throughout the school year. Starting next Monday, August 15, the Bookstore will be open Monday's and Wednesday's only from 8:45-9:00 AM.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION INFORMATION AT MGES:
All Center Grove Elementary Schools certainly want to take advantage of opportunities to make our students feel special by recognizing them during their birthdays.
All of our classroom teachers acknowledge student birthdays in age appropriate ways and students are featured during our morning announcements.
Our goal as educators is to promote health and wellness in our students’ daily lives. Many may be aware that we have numerous students in the Center Grove community with dietary restrictions. Some of these restrictions include food allergies, diabetes, and other medical conditions (e.g. obesity, celiac, etc.) that make it difficult for them to participate in celebrations involving food.
We will continue having birthday celebrations that do not involve food, and exclude children with dietary restrictions. Instead, we’re going to celebrate in ways that promote the health and wellness of our students!
Some of the ideas that you could do instead of food include:
Donating a book to our school in honor of your child’s special day. These books will remain in the classroom for the duration of the school year and become part of the collection for all students to read.
Donate a game to school for use during indoor recess, or equipment to be used during outside recess.
Instead of cakes and cookies for your child, bring in a game or puzzle for the class to enjoy.
You can find Center Groves policy for Birthday celebrations in the school handbook.

SECURITY AT MGES
- Exterior doors remain locked throughout the school day. Please ring the doorbell if you need assistance.
- The vestibule (entryway) is secured. Visitors/Parents will not be permitted in the building beyond the vestibule. If you are dropping off a child or picking up a child from the clinic, you will check in with Mrs. Schneider and your child will meet you in the vestibule. If you are picking up your child/children for an early dismissal, PUP must be updated with the students early dismissal plans in order for us to allow a parent into the building.
- If you need to drop off/pick up items from school, there is a pass-through door located next to Mrs. Schneider.
- Be sure to have your ID on you at all times when entering the building. We will still be checking ID's before any student can be checked out of the building.
- All students being picked up at the end of the school day will be a part of our car rider line.
