This Week at La Ballona...

Dear Families,

It's the Great Kindness Challenge Week! Each day, there are activities and dress-up challenges to remind all of us that empathy, compassion, and benevolence are the tools to ensure that we all respectfully interact with one another. Look below for the flyer!

Speaking of kindness, the University of California, has provided these wonderful videos that I think you'll find very helpful as we finish our 8th month of distance learning. Here's the link: The Education Channel

If you haven't yet, please kindly join our https://www.facebook.com/laballonaelementary. Just this week, four our children were featured expressing themselves artistically. We love you Jeremiah (5th), Victoria (1st), Theo (2nd) and Naomi (K).

One more kind request, please be sure your email addresses are correct in the Parent Portal. More than ever, we are relying on email. Please pass this on to your LB family, friends, and neighbors.

Have a great week!

New: Virtual Recess & Lunch Bunch

In an effort to give students a space to make connections, see friends, and make new friends, we will be offering a lunch bunch/virtual recess zoom everyday from 11:45-12:30. It is open to all students TK-5 and will be led by our counselor, guest teachers, and support staff. Students will have an opportunity to join breakout rooms of their choice, hang out with peers in their own breakout room, or engage in guided activities led by our staff.

We hope you come check it out and see what it is all about! Here is the link and information below:
