Principal's Message
Dear Wildcats,
The year has completed! You have done your job this year! Well done! You may sigh a breath of relief on Friday as you wave goodbye to our students. This week will be quite an emotional one as we bid farewell to some of our young scholars and we set them ready for the summer!
This week, we are extremely busy with our awards ceremonies and finishing the last few things before the end of the year. In preparation for our award ceremonies, on Tuesday, teams need to begin decorating the cafeteria so I request that bus dismissal will be held outside the cafeteria. For Wednesday, please create a schedule within your team for a 30 minute lunch break as everyone will be eating with your students on Wednesday. I will be sending a special summer edition of cat tracks with summer information and back to school information. This week, let us gather one last time on Wednesday for our final Faculty PLC.
Please keep in mind the following:
- Please keep in mind your close out checklist.
- As you clean the hallways, remove all staples from the walls. If there are any work orders in your area, please make sure to add them here: SSE WORK ORDER REQUEST. If you have any wishlist items- please add it here: SSE Wish List.
- If you are moving rooms, clearly label your boxes and set them aside to one corner of your room. We will begin moving boxes on Friday afternoon. If your new room is empty- then you may begin moving boxes and items to one corner of the room anytime this week. Enlist your friends, family members, people with muscle. Since we will be repainting the pods- please remove all items from the shelves to complete the work.
- No Movies are allowed until the EOY party with your class. Keep instructional activities engaging and the learning continues until the very end.
- You will not be checked out and clear until you check out with Ms. Gardner or Mrs. Martinez on either Friday or Monday of next week. Friends that did not attend the EOY party will need to come on Monday of next week.
So, you will be done with your checklist soon. You will have free time on your hands. This is a great time to recoup, rejuvenate, and refresh for the next leg of your journey whether it is at SSE or elsewhere next year! Either way, I hope you think broad, dream big, and have an opportunity to capture an essence of yourself to reconnect with those you love the most! Be good to yourself, love yourself, and take care of yourself. Remember- even if your off to join new places- count our wildcat spirit cheering you on! Thank you for the time all of you have shared with our young wildcats this year! Every day, every hour, every minute, and every second!
Wildcat Love and respect,
Rachel Martinez
