State Assessment Update
All Star Permission Slips Due by 9a Monday, April 4th!
Sewing Supplies Needed
Mrs. Watkins is asking for your support with her Family and Consumer Science classes. If you have any thread, fabric, stuffing, or needles (anything sewing really) that you want off your hands please send it in to the school anytime! These sewing supplies help out and go towards the hand and machine sewing units for the students in her classes. The learning process takes a lot of resources so even your small contributions would be greatly beneficial and appreciated. Thank you for considering!

Season 4 Sports
NTMS Season 4 Sports begins April 18 and runs through June 10th.
- Girls Volleyball
- Co-ed Track
- Boys Baseball
Register for these sports ONLINE HERE
Log in then select your student you are registering
Under "Shop" choose "Register for Athletics & Activities"
Choose the sport you want to register for and click "register"
*After your registration, your status will remain pending until we go in and approve it.
To play a sport and participate, your student must have a current physical on file (physicals are good for 2 years), purchase an ASB card ($25.00) and pay a $25.00 sports fee (Maximum of 2 sports fees per year). If your athlete has already played and paid for 2 sports this year, they need not pay any additional fees. The ASB card and Sports fees can be purchased online through Online Payments & choosing "Items at Student's School" then "Sports".
If your student has not paid for an ASB card (their student ID will reflect an ASB sticker if they have purchased one) or paid the sports fees, they will not be allowed to practice or play in games.
Games will be added to the NTMS Sports Calendar on the NTMS website. Practice schedule will be given and maintained by your student's coach.
College Bound Scholarship
Your child may be eligible to sign up for the College Bound Scholarship! This early promise of financial aid is funded by the state of Washington to encourage students to dream big and continue their education after high school.
What does the scholarship pay for?
College Bound combines with other state financial aid to cover the average tuition (at comparable public colleges), some fees, and a small book allowance. It is not a “full-ride” scholarship. Other college costs--such as room and board, transportation, and personal expenses--will be the student and family's responsibility. These could be covered by a combination of the family’s funds and federal grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any 7th or 8th grade student who meets one or more of the following requirements is eligible to apply:
· Their family meets the income requirements as listed in the brochure or on www.collegebound.wa.gov.
· They are a foster youth or a dependent of the state.
· Their family receives basic food or TANF benefits.
How can my child sign up?
Apply Online (available in English and Spanish).
Remember, the deadline to apply for College Bound is June 30 at the end of a student's 8th grade year. Students only have to apply once even if they move or change schools in Washington.
To learn more, visit www.collegebound.wa.gov, call 888-535-0747 (Option 1), email collegebound@wsac.wa.gov. Or Contact Mrs. Roscoe at jroscoe@dieringer.wednet.edu

Updates to Covid Communication
Since updated Department of Health guidance no longer requires contact tracing, we will send out a letter via email when students shared a space with someone who is Covid positive and may have been exposed. This will, in most cases, be a classroom space. See the link below for an example of the notification letter:
