Middle School South News....

Message from Mrs. Hanna...
Everything is in FULL swing! The school year has started out so smooth and we are so proud of the students and their hard work they have already put in this year.
STUDENT MESSAGES...Parents we ask that if you need to get a message to your child about change of transportation, etc. that the calls are made to the office before 2:45. This will allow the office staff to make sure the message is given to them in a timely manner and we are not trying to find them as they are walking out of the school building headed home. Thank you so much for your help and assistance.
If you have another email you would like for me to use or you would like to be removed from the Middle School South News...please email email@example.com.

Nurse Reminder to Middle School South Parents
Parents play an important role in their child’s health. To protect the health of all Middle School South students and staff, it is important that each parent be aware of their child’s health BEFORE sending them to school each day.
I need to stress again to you the importance of keeping your child at home if they are sick. If your child feels bad, please check their temperature. If they have a temperature of 1000 or more DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. This rule applies if they have a fever during the evening or before school in the morning.
STUDENTS MUST STAY HOME UNTIL THE TEMPERATURE STAYS BELOW 100 FOR 24 HOURS WITHOUT MEDICATION SUCH AS TYLENOL, MOTRIN, OR ADVIL.
For example: if your child feels bad tonight or in the morning and has a temperature of 100.0 you should NOT send them to school tomorrow. Please do not medicate your child and send them to school.
Also if your child has vomiting or diarrhea, please keep them home until they are symptom free for 24 hours. Stomach viruses are very contagious.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions about when your child should return to school you may contact me.

CMSS BOOK FAIR
Dear Parents and Families:
Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills and a love for reading:
· Set the example. Let children see you read.
· Have a collection of books in your home. Update this collection routinely to keep up
with changing tastes and reading skills.
· Support our school’s Book Fair. Allow your children to choose their own books to read.
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.
Book Fair dates: September 24- September 28
Shopping hours: 7:45-3:50
Special activities: *Open during R.E.A.L. Friend Lunches
We look forward to seeing you and your family at our Book Fair! Remember, all purchases benefit our school.
