YOUTH ARTS COUNCIL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
In its tenth year, the Youth Arts Council (YAC) at the Chandler Center for the Arts (CCA) is looking for 2020-2021 candidates. This free program focuses on arts appreciation, community service, and leadership skills in order to learn what it means to be an advocate for the arts and a well-rounded community leader. It’s a perfect addition to college and scholarship applications.
For six months, fifteen teens (ages 13-17) engage in two-hour online sessions led by expert speakers. Participants learn more about financial responsibility, leadership, group dynamics, careers in the arts and arts marketing through hands-on real-world projects.
HOW TO APPLY: Participation in the Youth Arts Council is free. Interviews for candidates to the program will take place on September 9, with online sessions beginning September 16, 2020, and concluding on March 3, 2021.
