Dear SHS Community,

It is my hope that our students, teachers, and high school families are having an enjoyable and productive September. A huge thank you to the Class of 2024 advisors, Mrs. McLaughlin and Mr. Mejia, the parents, and student volunteers for the time and effort put into organizing such a wonderful and successful Tricky Tray.

We will once again be offering the PSAT/NMSQT and SAT school day on October 11, 2023. All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be participating in the PSAT/NMSQT and pre-registered seniors will be taking the SAT. Wednesday, October 11th will be a one-session day for all high school students. Please contact Mrs. Wiswesser cwiswesser@sboe.org with any questions.

September 19th was National Voter Registration Day and members from the Junior State of America celebrated democracy; all students with important information and qualified students were given an opportunity to register to vote.

SHS Students gave back to the Secaucus Community at the Secaucus Food Pantry this past Monday by packaging food items for local families in need.

Secaucus High School will be holding its annual activity fair during student lunch periods on September 26th and 27th. Students will learn more about what each club offers, receive important information, and have an opportunity to join. We encourage all our students to get involved in the greater school community and signing up for one or more of our 35 clubs is a great way to do that.

The S.A.I.L. Walk-A-Thon for Mental Health Awareness supporting the J-Shine Foundation will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd from 3:30-5:30 P.M. at SHS (Raindate 10/5). If you are interested in participating, please see Ms. Lee .

We strongly encourage our entire school community to become members of both the Parent Teacher Student Association and the Patriot Athletic Club by clinking on the active links and completing the membership forms. Please join both organizations so they can continue to support our students.

Anyone interested in joining our esports league is encouraged to see Mr. Siafakis in the chorus room for more details.

We are excited for the start of the 2023-24 sports season and wish all our student athletes a safe and enjoyable season. We appreciate the support from our school community, please see the NJIC Athletic Calendar for all sporting events.
