Hello and welcome back to a brand new school year at Norco High School. We are excited and ready for the first day of school.
Make sure you and your student(s) are prepared by checking out the resources below!
Message from Dr. Bako, Principal
If a student cannot make their scheduled registration date, they will need to report directly to the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, August 9th (the first day of school) to complete registration. There are NO MAKE UP DAYS for registration.
Summer Assignments
Summer homework is required for select Honors and/or Advanced Placement (AP) courses in the fall of 2022-23 school year (some file dates may be old, but they are still valid and reused year after year, so disregard the date under "Modified").
Students who do not complete the assignments risk earning a zero for that assignment in their fall semester grade.
If your course is not listed, then there is no summer homework assignment
REMINDER: LATE START FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS TO BEGIN 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR
On Jan. 1, 2019, Senate Bill 328 went into effect as Education Code 46148 which mandates districts to ensure intermediate schools start at 8 a.m. or later, and high schools start at 8:30 a.m. or later by July 1, 2022.
As a reminder, our secondary school start times to the following:
- Comprehensive High Schools will all begin at 8:30 a.m.
Late Start Wednesday's
The first Wednesday of the school year (August 10) will NOT be a late start day. Period 1 will begin at 8:30am. Late start Wednesday's will begin on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
FREE MEALS FOR THE 2022-23 SCHOOL YEAR
All CNUSD students will receive free meals regardless of their eligibility for the 2022-23 school year.
Please note: Parents are still encouraged to fill out the free or reduced meals application as you may qualify for additional services, such as waived SAT/PSAT fees, CalWORKS, and more. Click here to learn more about

Back to School Video
We want to showcase our Norco High School students in our Back to School Video.

CNUSD Parent-Student Handbook
The State of California requires that all school districts provide parents and guardians with certain notices from the California Code of Regulations, the California Education Code and other laws and regulations relative to the operation of our local public school system. Throughout the year you will receive additional important information from your child’s school. Questions concerning the content of the Parent-Student Handbook should be directed to the principal of the student’s school of attendance or contact the Department of Student Services at (951) 736- 5111. We encourage you to visit your child’s school and to communicate frequently with the teachers and other staff members.
Senior Registration (Class of 2023)

8:00am-12:00pm
We will service all students during the entire timeframe. However, to avoid long lines, we advise students attend during the following time frames.
- A-L 8:00am-10:00am
- M-Z 10:00am-12:00pm
Parking Passes will be available to purchase. Make sure to have current registration and insurance available and printed.
Parents can sign for off campus lunch passes during this time.
Junior Registration (Class of 2024)
Monday, August 1, 2022
8:00am-12:00pm
We will service all students during the entire timeframe. However, to avoid long lines, we advise students attend during the following time frames.
- A-L 8:00am-10:00am
- M-Z 10:00am-12:00pm

Get registered and connected to Norco High School. Lunch will be provided to all freshmen on this day.
