MAJOR SAVER CAMPAIGN CONCLUDES THIS WEEK!
Last day to turn in Major Saver Packets is Tuesday, March 3rd!!
Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer. The extra nice thing about purchasing the cards online is that you can buy cards for the Olathe or Blue Valley Districts...this gives you more options for different restaurant offers around the metro area.
Major Saver has notified us of one change to their prize list. The prize shown on your packet for selling 6 cards (Super Suction Dart) will NOT be available for our students. Unfortunately, Major Saver’s supplier was not able to fulfill the full order in time for our campaign. All students, who sell at least 6 cards, will earn a Sling Shot Rocket in lieu of the dart.
The proceeds from the Major Saver fundraiser directly benefits Sunflower!

Growth and Development Parent Training (repeat)
March 11, 2020 6:30-8:00pm at Madison Elementary Library
Where do babies come from? What makes boys different from girls? What is puberty? These are just a FEW of the MANY questions kids ask parents as they grow and develop. These questions have often left parents grasping for answers, trying to figure out what is and is not appropriate, and oftentimes a bit sweaty. Through this growth and development training, we hope to help parents become comfortable and more familiar with age appropriate changes and questions. Preparing for what to expect and how to respond can be a great way to help us feel more confident in our parenting as well as adequately preparing our children for the world they live in. This training will be led by Sharaya Borjas, who is the owner and director of Borjas Counseling Services as well as a Clinical Supervisor for MidAmerica Nazarene University Master's in Counseling program. We hope you can attend this important, relevant training!
Snacks, drinks, and childcare will be provided.
Please RSVP for this training by March 6th using this link. https://signup.com/go/aVwFYPC
Please also indicate in the RSVP the children you will need childcare for.

All meetings are open to the public.
Kansas schools are required to establish site councils composed of the principal, teachers and other school personnel, parents, business representatives, and other community groups.
Site councils have a responsibility to provide advice and counsel in the following areas: evaluating district and school performance goals and objectives, determining methods to meet those goals and objectives, and other areas as requested by the board of education.
Remember, the work of the site council is advisory only; it makes recommendations, not decisions.
