October has kicked off with a bang! Talk about making memories!
Our students enjoyed an awesome nine week celebration, King and Queen fundraiser, Project Fit kickoff event, and Fall Festival. We hope you were able to join in on some of the fun! If you missed out on part of the events, tune in to some great pictures and details below.

Tuesday, October 18, McDonald's Spirit Night, 5;00-8:00 (Stone Drive location, across from Krispy Kreme)
Thursday, November 10, Veteran's Day Chorus Program - More details to come!
Friday-Saturday, November 18-19 - Plaza Transformation work days - Join our faculty, staff, students and FBSUMC volunteers as we transform our plaza into an outdoor STREAM classroom. More details to come!
Project Fit ribbon cutting
Our official ribbon cutting occurred on Thursday, October 6th. A special thank-you to Mrs. Statum for writing the grant for this equipment.
Hula Hoopers!
Dr. Turner and Dr. Ailshie competed with students in a hula hoop contest during our Project Fit kickoff!
Special Visitors
Our students were able to meet and share the new playground excitement with community sponsors from First Broad Street United Methodist Church and school board member, Susan Lodal.
King and Queen fundraiser
Our families collected almost $2000 for the PTA King and Queen fundraiser. The overall winners were Billy Claman and Chrishyra Bunche.
JSMS drumline
The John Sevier Middle School drumline joined our students to celebrate the end of the nine weeks. What a treat!
King and Queen Crowns!
The response from families was so great for this fundraiser. Plans for next year are already being made. Our PTA wants to give all those who donated a big THANK YOU!!!
Hot Dogs!
Our PTA sold 175 hot dogs at the Fall Festival. Great job!
Book Walk!
Students who participated in the book walk received a brownie and a new book!
Ticket Sales!
Students paid 25 cents for each ticket. What a deal!
