The curtain comes down on another school year, and the many moments of success deserve reflection and celebration. Each and every member of the Sycamore staff is critically important to the vibrant and collaborative culture we continue to nurture. At the center of it all are our students. The most important people we serve.
As we dip our toes into the summer months, I encourage each and every one of you to find just a little quiet reflection time to ponder a specific success you enjoyed with a student(s) this past year. Was it an academic hurdle you helped a student get over. Or possibly a successful experience on the court/field or in the performing arts arena? Did you help a student have a more enjoyable bus ride, or simply, but very importantly, make sure a child had a good meal? Did you make sure that a classroom was warm, safe and dry so every student could have a nice learning environment?
Whatever it was, think about that moment and consider your impact on student(s). If you truly think about it, you will realize that you make a difference each and every day in the lives of our students; in the most positive of ways. For those moments and for so much more, I offer my most sincere thanks and gratitude for who you are: people dedicated to serving students. That is who Sycamore is and who we will be forever.
To close, five simply words, I am Proud of You. The Sycamore Community knows and values your work with its children. Our communities flourish because of the quality of the schools. I wish you and your family the very best throughout a relaxing summer. You deserve the break!! #SycamoreStrong #GoAves

Medicare Questions
If you or a family member is nearing age 65 in the next few years, you may benefit from attending a session sponsored by Ohio's Senior Health Insurance Information Program. Medicare enrollment is key to meeting future health insurance needs even if you have coverage through an employer, STRS, SERS or another pension plan. Click on the link below to learn more about these sessions.
A series of in-person statewide “Welcome to Medicare” events are being held for Ohioans new to Medicare. These events are conducted by staff from the Department's Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) and educate soon-to-be Medicare eligible Ohioans about their health insurance and prescription drug coverage options.
