Wildcat Weekly
January 15, 2021
It was great seeing students back in the building again this week! The students were smiling from ear to ear and the teachers and staff were rejuvenated. This Monday, January 18th school is closed in honor of MLK Jr. This very important holiday was started to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who brought hope and healing to America as one of the greatest civil rights leaders of our history. This holiday was created to move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community” working together to help one another. It is also a great reminder to us all about the importance of giving back and helping others when we can. Later in the newsletter you will find suggestions on ways to give back to the community in celebration of this day. Enjoy the long weekend with your family.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
A virtual MLK Jr quilt in Miss Conte's room, a canned food drive facilitated by Mrs. Brown, and a MLK Jr choice board in library with Mrs. Finegan were just a few of the activities teachers lead in honor of the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Attached is a list of COVID-friendly suggestions for you and your family if you are looking for ways to demonstrate the value of community service with your children.

ACP asked if we could remind parents that A Child’s Place is here and able to help with child care. They have space in the full day Virtual Programs, in addition to, Before and Aftercare Programs. Revised Hybrid information can be found in the attachment below.
