Go Together: Spain
Go Together: Spain
April 17-25, 2020
Registration Opens for Go Together Spain on September 20, 2019. Space is limited!
What is “Go Together?”
Through the Go Together program we will build Alabama CBF community by bringing churches together for missions consistent with Jesus instruction to “Go into all the work and make disciples.” Few Alabama CBF churches partner with other Alabama CBF churches in hands-on mission experiences. Rather, churches plan and execute mission trips and experiences only for their members and guests.
Through GO Together, Alabama CBF seeks to create a system of bringing churches together through the formation of multi-church teams who will get to know and serve alongside CBF field personnel or churches in cross-cultural contexts. The process will be streamlined and efficient, allowing smaller churches to participate in mission experiences which might otherwise not be accessible because of logistical or financial challenges.
Those 45 and younger will be eligible for partial grants to help make their participation possible.
To get more trip details, including cost and how to reserve your spot, please go www.alabamacbf.org/gotogether.

Alabama CBF Co-Sponsors Oasis 2020
Oasis...a spiritual Retreat for Youth Ministers
January 28-31, 2020
Montreat, North Carolina
Oasis is a spiritual retreat for youth ministers but is it also an excellent opportunity for continuing education. It is a chance for youth minsters to sharpen their skills through best practices conversations with youth ministry veterans from across the Fellowship .
If you are interested or know someone who might be, please share this information with them.
There are grants available to assist new youth ministers or youth minsters who serve churches that aren't able to provide much continuing education funds. Alabama CBF believes in the importance of experiences like Oasis and we do not want money to stand in the way of participation. Please contact Lucas Dorion at lucas@alabamacbf.org for details.
You can learn more about Oasis at www.cbfymn.org/oasis2020.
A Note From Our Coordinating Council
Ever started planning a mission trip and wished there were someone you could ask for advice and recommendations? Or collected a ton of items for disaster relief efforts but don’t have a way to get them to the people in need? Well, in the spirit of Missions Engagement, the Coordinating Council is asking for your help! All of our churches are out there in the world doing great things, and we want to be able to encourage and assist one other. To facilitate this, we’re creating a contact list of missions coordinators that will function as a shared knowledge source of who’s doing what (disaster relief, Sowing Seeds of Hope, partnering with field personnel, etc.). Ideally, we’d like to see every church represented by at least one clergy member and one layperson so that we can disseminate and collect information and resources. Contact info will be shared with everyone in the group for the purposes of increased communication and collaboration. If you or someone you know is the Missions coordinator for your church, please fill out this form so that we can begin compiling our list. Once we have our contacts gathered, we’ll use the email listserv to both send out information about CBF missions projects and to strengthen conversation among our churches. If you're interested in being a part of this group, please join us for lunch at Surin West in Five Points after the conclusion of the Fall Gathering on Monday, October 21 (send RSVPs to annahlauren@gmail.com).
We look forward to hearing from you about what your congregation is doing!
Blessings,
Annah Lauren Kelley
