Principal News
Don't forget that on September 21st, all CPCSC students will have an e-learning day. Parents can find information about student learning, attendance, and more by clicking on the button below.
On September 21st, CPCSC staff will be participating in a safety exercise called 'reunification' - an important component of our district’s safety plan. If an incident at one of our buildings should require an evacuation, we will use the Standard Reunification Method to reconnect parents with their children in an organized and secure manner. CPCSC uses the process from The “I Love U Guys” Foundation which provides resources for more than 30,000 schools, organizations, and communities around the world.
Dear Crown Point Community School Corporation Families,
We want to thank our parents/guardians for being valued partners as we work together to educate our students.
While many people often think of student success in relation to grades or test scores, it is also important to consider the social and emotional growth of our students. Starting September 19th-Sept 26th , we will ask students in grades 3-12 for their feedback via a 20-30 minute online survey completed at school. The survey will ask students to reflect on their self-efficacy, emotional regulation, social awareness, and supportive relationships. The results from the survey support our ability to address individual and school-identified needs.
We have previously administered this survey as part of our Ready To Learn student services work. The data was used to implement positive behavior interventions and improve school culture and climate. We look forward to using new data from this school year to identify and align services for students.
If you have any questions about the survey or do not want your child to participate, please contact your school’s main office before September 19th. Students who opt out of the survey will still be able to participate in programs or services created as a result of the data.
Sincerely,
CPCSC Office of Curriculum and Instruction

Parents,
Did you know that when kids are held accountable for chores they learn organization skills, teamwork skills, and build self-esteem? These are very important skills for children to have not only at school, but in everyday life. I encourage you to give your child a chore, no matter how small in order to help reinforce these skills! Here are some examples of age-appropriate chores for children:
Ages4-5: Feed Pets, Match Socks, Fold dish towels
Ages 6-8: Fold Laundry, Sweep, Rake Leaves
Ages 9-11: Take out garbage, Mop, Simple Meal prep
Have a great weekend!
Ms. Alicia Bellamy M.S.Ed, LPSC
