Class Placements for the 2021/22 School Year

We wish to return to our tradition of notifying families about class placements the day before school starts. Class lists will be posted near the office at 4:00pm on Wednesday, July 21. Please come by the school on Wednesday afternoon to find out what class you'll be a part of for the 2021-22 school year. If COVID protocols prohibit gathering however on July 21, you will be able to access your child's class placement through the AERIES parent portal . Once you have completed data confirmation, and the office finalizes the schedule, class placements will be viewable through the parent portal. Please note: Wednesday, July 21, at 4:00pm is when class lists will be finalized. In advance of this date, students will be assigned placeholder slots, which are temporary and potentially inaccurate. Please do not get attached to a class placement until Wednesday, July 21 at 4:00pm, when placements are final.

Petaluma City School’s 2021-22 Aeries Data Confirmation will open on Tuesday, July 13, and must be completed for each student before school begins on July 22. This must be completed before your student can attend in-person learning next school year on campus.

Garden Update

What a year it's been for our school garden! It was lots of fun getting in there to learn, work, and experiment.

Over summer we are asking for interested volunteers to help water or even join in some “work parties” to get projects done while being social. If you’re interested in helping on any level contact Sarah Koniak at skoniak@petk12.org and we look forward to seeing you!

It was so fun to get creative with Garden classes this year and we were able to incorporate our Ocean Guardian Stewardship by planting native trees, collecting rainwater for watering, and using clay pot slow watering systems in our classroom garden troughs with Worm Gold from our worm bin! Looking forward to watching MCCV gardening to come!

Thanks once more to Shannon Paras for the beautiful garden photos she has supplied us with this school year. See what else Shannon is doing at www.shannonparas.com.
