We will be leaving LVES at 10:45 on January 22nd. Sack lunches will be given to students before leaving campus. All events will end at 4:30, so we should return to LVES at 6:00. Counselor's Corner
School is back in full swing now. When school and workdays are long it can be hard to find the time to spend together. Kids rely on their families for love, guidance, and a sense of belonging. Without these things, it’s hard to do well in school or in life. These simple activities will show your child they are loved and have family support.
Eat meals together. This is one of the best ways for family members to put each other first. Take time to talk about the day and all that time spent apart.
Play board games. Let your child choose the game and play together rather than video games or TV. It gives your child that undivided attention they need.
Stick to a nightly routine. Plan to get them in bed early and read to your child each night. It’s shows your child you care by spending quality time with them.
Plan an outing together. Go to a concert, museum, or sporting event over the weekend. Ask your child what their first choice is and go for it.
