Staff vs. Staff Basketball Game

The Staff vs. Staff game will be played on on Monday, September 28. We will use the early release schedule and students will be called to the gym at 1:00. Students who do not attend the game will go to a study hall during that time. Please encourage all of your students to attend. It’s for a great cause.

Canvas Mobile App

Encourage your students to download the Canvas App on their Apple or Android devices to keep up with their homework, assignments, etc... To search for CCHS, just type in ccsnc.instructure.com.

Pacing Guides

Your pacing guides need to be completed by September 15. The pacing guides will be added to your Canvas so that parents and students have access to them. You will also need to email me your pacing guide. If you are teaching a subject that someone else is teaching, the same pacing guide should be used.

North Carolina Learning Object Repository (NC LOR)

The North Carolina Learning Object Repository provides an environment for educators to search for, use and share quality educational resources. The content is aligned to the North Carolina Essential Standards and is open to everyone to use. All NC LOR resources have been added to our Canvas and they are available on Schoolnet. I have created a module for NC LOR tutorials on the CCHS Staff Canvas Page.

Emergency Lesson Plans

Emergency lesson plans are to be added to your Canvas ASAP. These plans should contain your daily schedule, class rolls and seating charts, lesson plans with instructional activities relevant to the course objectives that could be used at any time and that cover three days.

NCDPI WikiCentral Page

The NCDPI WikiCentral Page has a Symbaloo which contains links to numerous sites that teachers use (HomeBase, NCEES, EVAAS, NCDPI PD Modules, etc...). The site also contains links to the Region I wiki, which contains information about important meetings and PD opportunities in our area. The wiki is much easier to navigate that the DPI home page and is worth bookmarking on your computer. The link is... http://wikicentral.ncdpi.wikispaces.net/NCDPI+WikiCentral+Page
