Schoolnet Staff Development
Staff vs. Staff Basketball Game
The Staff vs. Staff game will be played on on Monday, September 28. We will use the early release schedule and students will be called to the gym at 1:00. Students who do not attend the game will go to a study hall during that time. Please encourage all of your students to attend. It’s for a great cause.
Spirit Week
Spirit Week will consist of the following days…
- Monday-PJ Day-Relay for Life Staff Basketball Game
- Tuesday-Zoo Day
- Wednesday-Day of the Decades (60’s, 70’s, and 80’s)
- Thursday- Blue and White Day-Pep Rally at 2:00
- Friday-Homecoming

Pacing Guides
Your pacing guides need to be completed by September 15. The pacing guides will be added to your Canvas so that parents and students have access to them. You will also need to email me your pacing guide. If you are teaching a subject that someone else is teaching, the same pacing guide should be used.
North Carolina Learning Object Repository (NC LOR)
Emergency Lesson Plans
Emergency lesson plans are to be added to your Canvas ASAP. These plans should contain your daily schedule, class rolls and seating charts, lesson plans with instructional activities relevant to the course objectives that could be used at any time and that cover three days.
Cultural Awareness Training
All certified staff members should complete the NCDPT Online PD Module: Global Awareness, Diversity, and Cultural Sensitivity in the Classroom by October 29. One CEU will be awarded upon completion of the training. Certificates should be sent to Amy Burnham at Central Office. Below are the steps to access the module:
1) log into the my.ncedcloud.org page
2) click NCEES
3) click Professional Development
4) click course search
5) type in 66 or global Awareness, Diversity and Cultural Sympathy in the classroom: self paced
