WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 / MIÉRCOLES 15 DE SEPTIEMBRE
GRATEFUL: Feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful.
AGRADECIDO: Sentir o mostrar aprecio por la bondad; agradecido.
Each Monday the parents or guardians of BPMS students will receive an email with a link to our Weekly Parent Communication website. Here you will find general information about the school and a page where teachers have posted updates of what is going on in their classrooms. It will also have contact information in case you have any questions. Teachers can choose to post upcoming events or talk about what students studied last week. There is a page for 7th grade and a page for 8th grade. You will need to know your student’s teachers in order to know which posts to view. This list can be found in ParentVue or by asking your student to show you their schedule. The link will be sent by your student’s advisory teacher.
SAFETY/PARENT PICK UP
As the days become shorter we are finding that it is dark in the morning when many of our students are walking/riding their bikes to school. Please let your students know the importance of walking on the sidewalks (not in the street or bike lanes unless riding a bike) and watching carefully before crossing in the cross walks. When it's dark outside it's difficult for drivers to see walkers and bike riders.
For the safety of our students we are asking that parents follow the school process for ALL student pick up at the end of the day. You enter Teakwood off of 13th Ave., wait in line, and pick up your student in front of the school. We are asking that students not walk across the field to waiting cars, meet parents on Township or that parents make a U-Turn on Teakwood after picking their student up.
HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS
Families, please remember, if your middle school children are attending High School events, they need to be accompanied by an adult. Supervision is not provided at these events and parents are expected to supervise their middle school children at all times. There is a home football game on September 18th. We feel it is important that our BPMS students represent our school and community and behave in a way in which we all would be proud. We are confident they can do this! Thank you for your support!
