Red Ribbon Week (October 17-21)
Monday: "Be a Jean-ius and Team Up Against Drugs and BullyFree"- Wear jeans, team jerseys, t-shirts, caps and/or other teamattire.
Tuesday: "You have the POWER to be Drug and Bully Free"-Dress in your favorite SUPERHERO (no masks or weapons)
Wednesday: UNITY DAY-wear orange
Thursday: "Sock it to Drugs" Wear crazy socks
Friday: "Our Future is too Bright to Use Drugs!" and "Pink Fridayfor Breast Cancer Awareness"- Wear bright and pink clothing
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Reading
Block 1 just finished reading the Chocolate Touch. Block 2 has been reading about Explorers then and now.
Writing
We are talking about ourselves in our personal narratives. We are working on creating good beginnings. Next week, we will begin writing about a journey through a haunted house.
Math
We are learning about three digit subtraction. We are using place value blocks to model how to subtract. We are also practicing addition. I can't wait to start multiplication!
