Connections Plan and Suggestions
- Finish Up Google Classroom Tasks
- Student Survey (Survey will be posted to the classroom and emailed on Tuesday)
- Video for Students
Suggestions
- Take your total number of students and divide by four (Ex. 24/4=6) This means you would have 6 kids in each group. Make 24 cards of 4 different colors and have students draw a color to determine their groups. Show students their groups and explain that you will begin Sept. 6 with individual meetings tracking progress.
WHAT DO I DO WITH THE GROUPS?
- Your reds are your week ones. You will have checked up on their progress prior to connections and you will meet with those six one on one to show you are keeping up with academics and attendance and offer suggestions.
- Your blues will be week two.
- Your greens will be week three.
- Your purples will be week four.
By the end of September, you will have checked up on each student and met with them to show you care. The meetings don't have to be lengthy and other students can work on outside assignments if you wish.
FOR 9th GRADE CONNECTIONS TEACHERS ONLY!!
On Wednesday during Connections time, please show the videos located on the staff drive. There are six of them. They will be under the title SGA Freshman Election Videos.
