Center for Latin American Studies
Did you know that Vanderbilt University has the Center for Latin American Studies?
I just found out about it at my librarian PD this week! They offer books, lesson plans, multimedia materials and other resources to help teachers incorporate Latin American content into their classrooms. They also sponsor the Américas Book Award.
They are DYING to loan these items to schools! I've already ordered a cultural artifact box for the third grade South America unit! Here’s a few links:
