National Insurance Number Interviews - WEDNESDAY 10 May 2017
National Insurance Number interviewers will be based at the Careers Centre on Wednesday 10 May 2017. They will carry out short ID meetings with any international student or member of staff who is currently working or intends to work in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to have your ID inteview done in St Andrews (otherwise you will have to travel to Edinburgh Job CentrePlus office in Leith).

The final submission deadline for a place in our 2017 cohort is Wednesday 10 May 2017.

Continuing Students - Do you want to be a Teach First Brand Manager on Campus?
We are still open for our St Andrews Brand Manager positions. This is a part-time, paid, role on campus taking place next academic year from September – April. The role requires you to work an average of 4 hours a week as part of a team on campus promoting Teach First.
During the role you will gain a wide skills, developing your leadership, team working, problem-solving, communication, marketing skills and independence.

Would you like to work at a Summer School in St Andrews this year?
Exciting competition for Computer Science or Maths Students - any year
hosting a summer competition “ULTRA 2017” available online to eligible students on 1st August 2017. The competition will focus on traditional algorithms and technical problem solving with the opportunity to win cash prizes, the top prize being £10,000.
The competition’s objective is to develop our brand awareness and build our presence within university campuses. Additionally, it will allow us to connect with strong programmers who are interested in a future career in finance. The competition is a great opportunity for students to be introduced to GSA Capital and vice versa; we would like to advertise this to your undergrad students, in particular 1st and 2nd year students.

Postgraduate Study
Medical Research Scotland PhD Studentships - Apply by Noon 11 July 2017
Medical Research Scotland PhD Studentship Awards, tenable from Autumn 2018.
Applications are now invited from Scottish Universities, in conjunction with trading companies involved in medically- relevant life sciences research for the above Awards.
- Up to 15 fully 4 year PhD studentships, tenale from autumn 2018.
- Including stipend, UK/EU and contributions to laboratory and travel expenses
- To be delivered in a Scottish University/Recognised Research Institution
The aim of these awards is to enhance the careers of scientists at an early stage of their career in health-related research in any of the biomedical, physical, clinical, engineering and mathematical sciences. Complementing the universities’ own postgraduate programmes, the Medical Research Scotland PhD Studentships incorporate the additional commercial training needed to develop careers in an increasingly difficult and competitive market, while also helping to strengthen the country's internationally-renowned biomedical base.
