WINDERMERE PRIMARY/Sept. 28
2018
OCTOBER
Autumn leaves fall, pumpkin patches appear, crisp air arrives, and bonfires with help make S'more-time happen!!! As we move into the thankful season, I want to express my deepest gratitude for being a part of your family. I truly believes it takes a village to do anything, and our Windermere Village is full of love, playing, learning, and leading.
Go on a hayride, be outdoors, jump in leaves,
bake with your child, and cozy up with a good book!
Fall is here!:)

DESTINATION IMAGINATION: Forms due October 9
We are offering an extraordinary opportunity for your child to learn and experience teamwork, problem solving, and creativity through Destination Imagination!
In Destination Imagination, student teams in grades PK-2 solve open-ended Challenges and present their solutions at a spring Tournament (Saturday, February 23, 2019). Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together, and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of a Team Challenge. This enrichment program incorporates science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math (STEAM).
Windermere Primary School teams will participate in the Rising Stars non-competitive challenge for students in grades PK-2. This challenge offers simple experiences with the creative process, and it gives young kids a place to work together and make new friends. All forms are due by October 9, 2018.

ENCHANTED EVENING...FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT 2018
SAFETY FIRST
Windermere family,
We are looking at our flow patterns this afternoon; we are considering several options to improve safety during dismissal. Grand Avenue Parkway is a major road and cars are not allowed to wait on the road. If you pull in and there is no room in the line, please park. Once the line shortens, you may rejoin the line. We normally take 15 minutes to dismiss. If you can wait until 2:55 to join the line, the 10 minutes would help with our traffic patterns. Remember, children are walking with their parents to parked cars. Safety first, please.
How you can help:
Pay Close Attention.
Pull Vehicles Up.
No one should leave the vehicle at anytime.
Wait unit 2:50 to get in line.
We start dismissal at 2:45 pm. We will continue with dismissal as long as cars are in the line.
