Stimulant is a substance that raises your physiological or nervous level activity in your body. Caffeine is from leaves and fruits of certain plants.

Where does caffeine come from and where is it found in food products?

Caffeine is found in many plants. It is found in coffee beans, tea leaves, and cocoa nuts. Caffeine is not just found in coffee, it is found in more food products. It is found in energy drinks, cola, chocolate and tea.


Everyone trusts their family, friends, religious leaders, grandparents, teachers and the media but did you know that they can also influence you from having caffeine? Yes, I am telling you the truth and mostly friends and family can be part of this. That is why you need to be careful around them. I am not saying not to have friends, I am saying that you can still have friends but if they try to influence you into a lot of caffeine, think and decide before you want to do it and go with your opinion.

Now it might sound awful when you here the people you trust influence you to do these things but you need to try yourself not to influence people into the wrong path.

Effects (long term)

A lot of caffeine is very harmful for health. It can cause many dangerous effects to your body. It can cause depression, addiction, high blood pressure, effects your nervous system and insomnia (which means unable to sleep). That is why you shouldn't take caffeine a lot because it can cause all these effects to your body.

Deterrents in this case means a person or cases that can drive you away from having caffeine. Deterrents has the word deter which means to drive away from. In this case, there are many deterrents. Negative health effects, costs/laws, commercials and ads, your family or friends, loss of job opportunities, travel and doctors or medical profession. That is why a lot of people don't really want to take caffeine a lot because, they might lose their jobs or they might not be able to travel again.

Places for help

Bad cases lead to very helpful cases. There are many places for help that can help get you out of caffeine. There is a medical institution, rehabilitation, support groups (community centres), parents, trusted adults and the YMCA. They can always help you whenever you are in trouble and they will never disagree to help you.
