So much to be thankful for at Center!
Dear Center Community,
Another enriching week at Center. Our K students enjoyed their presentation by Pumpernickel Puppets. Our 4th grade students learned about the culture and traditions of the Wampanoags from Annawon Weeden. Thank you for supporting Center CSPTO fundraisers, as the proceeds provide these wonderful events.
Staff Updates
Sadly, we say good-bye to Claudia Benedetti, who was a lunch and recess aide here at Center and will now be working as a paraeducator at Byam. We wish you well, Claudia.
Please welcome David Campbell as our new lunch and recess aide. He is a familiar face to students and staff, having filled in daily for the last few weekd.

Have a good week.

Notes from the nurse: Attention 3rd grade families
Dear 3rd Grade Parent,
Please remember to send in a copy of your child’s required third grade physical for the 2022-23 school year, if you have not already done so. A physical completed between Jan 2022 and June 2023 (18 months) is requested. A Physical Exam includes a statement that your child has no physical restrictions and communicates that your child is safe to participate in all school activities.
Massachusetts General Law 105 CMR 200.00 Section 100 requires that a child be examined every three to four years after entering school. Chelmsford Public Schools requires a physical exam on file for all kindergarten, third, sixth, and ninth graders You may send in the original and a copy can be made and return the original to you or have your child’s doctor’s office fax it to Center School Nurse at 978-256-4282 (Fax).
Thank you,
Kathy Rossman BSN RN

Center Cares
Dear Center Families,
As we approach the holiday season the Center Cares program at Center School is accepting gift card donations to help our families that need some extra support. Gift cards in $20-$25 increments (or any amount) from Target or Walmart would be most welcome! If you are able to make a donation, gift cards will be accepted at the front office.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and care.
Warm regards,
Ms. Lallas, Center School Counselor
*** Thank you so much to the many families who have already donated gift cards. Your kindness and generosity is heartwarming!!

Snow Day Notification - a message from Dr. Lang
If school is delayed or canceled this winter, a message will be communicated consistently with past practice as follows:
- An e-mail and telephone message will be sent to the primary contact number of each student and staff member in the district. This is a great time to verify your primary contact number in X2, our student/staff database, at which you desire to be contacted is accurate. If no message is received, school is being conducted as usual that day;
- A message will be displayed on the Chelmsford Public Schools webpage notifying the public of the status of school for the day. If no message is displayed, school is being conducted as usual that day;
- A message will be displayed on local television channels 4, 5, 7, and 25. If no message is displayed, school is being conducted as usual that day.
To allow parents and staff a little extra time to plan and prepare for a school closure, whenever possible, I attempt to make an announcement the night before when it is evident from the forecast that school will be impacted. This is not always possible and many times I need to wait until the early morning hours to make a decision for the district. Under these circumstances, I will endeavor to make and announce a decision by 5:30 a.m. on the day school will be impacted.
