Juniata Jaguar Weekly Update
February 10, 2022
Juniata News:
I saw an idea that would be awesome for parents--especially if your child is in 1st grade. If you put items into a time capsule for this year: 2/22/22, you could have them open it back up during the year that they graduate: 3/3/33. I love this idea!!
We also did our ribbon cutting ceremony for our new Inchy the Bookworm Book Vending Machine and rewarded the students who participated in our Summer Reading Program two summers ago! Yes, that is correct--we have been waiting for the arrival of this book vending machine for so long! Our first book recipients are: Kylee Perino, Evelyn Wilkinson, Carson Dielh, Darren Focht, Aubrey Arthurs and Liam George. Congratulations to all of you! Next week, teachers will be nominating one student per week that have earned a special token to get a free book. What a great incentive for our students!
Have a nice weekend,

In ELA class, students are taking part in Fantasy book clubs, where they are discussing their books with the members of their group who are also reading that book. Students are analyzing the characters’ journey and discussing how it relates to the theme.
