Registration
Registration for a car rider tag is only required for K–5 students being picked up in the after-school car rider line. Registration is not needed for morning drop-off. You can pick up Car Rider tags in the Front Office from 9:00 am–2:45 pm. Pre/VPK car riders should contact the VPK office as these students follow different procedures.
Procedures:
- Families picking up their student at car riders must have their tag displayed with the number visible.
- Students may only load and unload from the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Families must remain in the car, and BES staff will assist the student if necessary.
- Walk-ups are not permitted.
- There is no parking in the loading zone.
- Please have the student memorize their car rider number.
- If your tag is lost, please request a replacement at the front desk.
- To pick up a student who is not listed on your car rider number, you must be listed on the student's emergency form and sign them out at the front desk.
- If you do not have a car rider tag or forgot your tag, you must park & report to the Front Office and sign your student out.
Directions:
All K–5 car riders should enter the school area off E. Magnolia Street (Green line on the map below). The yellow line on the map below is for Pre-K car riders.
- K–5, exit the parking lot and make a right on N. Palmetto.
- Pre-K car riders will come down E. Howe Street and make a left into the gym parking lot just before N. Peach St. You will exit N. Chapel by turning left to prevent disruption of the K-5 car rider line on E. Magnolia St. East Howe will be your way in and out of the school zone for Pre-K.
- Pre-K cars are not permitted on N. Peach St. This is to prevent disruption of bus traffic.
- For the safety and protection of our students, staff, and yourself, we ask that you only pass cars in the line if a member of our team or law enforcement directs you to do so.
- Walkers will exit onto Orange St. Parents are not to park anywhere along E. Howe or the side streets.
- If your child arrives or leaves school in a car, they should be a car rider. Contact the front office for a Car Rider tag.
