From the Principal

Welcome to the month of April! Beginning next week, you will start to see a more formal feel to our distance learning, as teachers have lessons and activities ready for your students in a more detailed format. Please connect with your child's teacher, if you haven't already to gain access to their Google Classrooms, Flip Grids, and other district-approved platforms for learning. Please feel free to email your child's teacher with questions and concerns about upcoming learning that will take place.

Join us in our district-wide LifeLeader Challenge next week. Information will be posted on our campus Facebook page on Sunday night.

Next Friday, April 10, is a school holiday! Enjoy a 3 day weekend with your family.

We miss you all so much! Stay healthy and well! We hope to see everyone back on campus very soon!

From the Counselor

There is now a section on the District Learning Website titled Counseling. Here you will find the email address for all Life School Counselors. My email is if you are needing anything.

There is also a Social and Emotional Wellness section for you to check out. There is a fun Family Life Habits Weekly Calendar to which has activities for you and your family to participate in together. You will find this information and the calendar on the Distant learning site under Learning for Fun then click Social Emotional Wellness. This link will take you to the District Learning Website:

I miss seeing everyone! Hope you are all doing well!

Breakfast and Lunch Distribution for Students

Parents, please remember that we have breakfast and lunch boxes meals Monday and Wednesday from 10 to 12 at our Lancaster campus. Please have your students with you. It makes the process much quicker if you have their First and Last name, grade level and campus written down. This is a drive-through service available to all students within the district.
Pick up locations are also open at our Mountain Creek and Carrollton campuses.

When you are ready for life, you have the ability to understand how to make, manage, invest, and spend your money. You are responsible with your money and have a plan for the future. You understand ways to earn money and are grateful for the opportunity. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, Financial Literacy.

Today's I will statement:

“I will practice financial literacy by saving my money and preparing for the future.”

This week we are focusing on Baylor University. The Bear’s home is located just south of us in Waco. Baylor has a wide variety of academic disciplines available including Biology, Nursing and Computer Programming. Waco is a beautiful campus to visit ‘Joy’ and ‘Lady’ the current Baylor Bears named after wives of Baylor Presidents. Visit for more information.

Report Cards and Parent Portal

Parents, I've attached a link, step by step so that you can set up your parent portal to view your child's report card.

Teacher/Staff member of the month

This month's Staff Member of the Month is Mrs. Nancie Clark. Mrs. Clark has been with us for one year as our Librarian. Before that, she worked with our students and a substitute and we were thrilled to bring her on full time. Nancie and her husband have been married for 21 years and have four children. Thank you, Mrs. Clark, for all that you do each day at LSRO!

Congratulations to Chelsea Lane for being our Teacher of the Month for March. Mrs. Lane has been with LSRO for seven years as one of our wonderful 3rd-grade teachers. She loves spending time with her family, camping, and going on road trips. She and her husband, Brian, enjoy motorcycle rides. She has two kids; Cooper, age 3 and Bethany, age 1. We are thankful for everything Mrs. Lane does for her students, our school, and our campus Facebook page.
