A Principal's Perspective
I have been reviewing my materials for T-Tess in preparation for observations. I ran across this quote, "With T-TESS, it’s okay to be where you are; it’s not okay to stay there." It reminded me that T-Tess is not a gotcha but a true professional growth model. But this quote is not just for T-Tess. Is it not about learning and improving as an educator and what we expect of our students as well? The quote from John Dewey reinforces this notion, "Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another." Hopefully, we never stop learning as educators and as a faculty. As we learn together to navigate T-Tess, I am looking forward to the conversations with you about your students, the instructional strategies you design, your ideas you are able to try by taking that risk, and your professional goals that are important to you. It truly is about the conversations, support for professional growth, and setting goals that make an impact. So be a risk taker and set a goal that the business community calls a BHAG, Big Hairy Audacious Goal! As they say, if your goals don't scare you, they aren't big enough!
Be Innovative - Design the possibilities!
