Miss Teen Missouri Visits EL

Park Hill celebrated Academic Achievement Week this week. On Wednesday we celebrated our academic achievements at English Landing during an all school assembly. English Landing alumnae, Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff, Miss Teen Missouri, attended our assembly and spoke about the importance of setting goals. Sophia attended English Landing from kindergarten through fifth grade and is now a Junior at Park Hill South High School. At the conclusion of the assembly, the students and staff went out to the playground and formed the word SOAR. It was a memorable day! Thanks to Mr. McGinley for coordinating our student leaders for this assembly and to Mrs. Davidson for outlining the word, SOAR, on the playground. Even though the temperatures were colder than we expected for this activity, our eagles SOARED!
