Vista Magnet Middle School
August 21, 2020
Hello Vista Magnet families,
We hope that your extended summer break is going well and we look forward to starting school with all of you very soon on Tuesday, September 8th.
Vista Magnet is preparing for the upcoming school year with your registration information for either Vista Virtual or Vista Classic. We are building our master right now and we should be able to share many more details soon. Thank you for your patience!
Save the Date: Materials Pick-Up days are on August 25th, 26th, and 27th for all Vista Magnet students. On the Materials Pick-Up days, students will be invited to come on campus to get their Chromebook, textbooks, student planner, and more. Click here for full details and appointment times for our Materials Pick-Up Days.
Tuesday, August 25th: 6th grade
Wednesday, August 26th: 7th grade
Thursday, August 27th: 8th grade
On Materials Pick-Up days you may park in our staff parking lot or in the Civic Center, and enter school from the parking lot onto our blacktop. Please remember face coverings are required for everyone on campus, students should bring a backpack to carry materials, and please do not bring extra people or small children if possible. Families have the option of purchasing a Chromebook Protection Plan for $20, see our school website to sign up online.
Online Registration: All students, including new students and current VUSD students, must complete the VUSD online registration process before the school year: Click here for instructions for online registration. At this time there are no documents you need to print or turn in to the school. Registration will not occur at school sites this year, and unfortunately we will not have orientation activities on campus this year. The Materials Pick-Up days will replace the registration days this year.
PTA: All Vista Magnet families are encouraged to join PTA: click here to join PTA online. As a Member of the Vista Magnet Middle School PTA or by donating to the PTA, you can help support quality educational programs and the arts, and materials (such as student planners) not provided by school district funding. PTA members also get special discounts nationally and locally.
Stay Informed: We encourage all families to stay updated with VUSD school reopening information on the VUSD School Reopening Webpage. Also, lots of questions can be answered in the School Reopening FAQ document. Please continue to check our school website at vmms.vistausd.org for the most current Vista Magnet updates.
