TC Tech Spotlight - Jessica Mobley (STMS)

We would like to start including things you are doing to effectively integrate technology into your classrooms. If you know of a coworker that is doing something great with techonology or you would like to share something you are doing with technology, drop us an email. We would love to spotlight one of you each month.

This month's spotlight is Jessica Mobley. Two people at the BOE were doing a co-teaching walkthrough in Jessica's class and observed her using a tool with her students. She had to leave early and was able to continue her teaching by using Screencastify. Special thanks to Jessica for her willingness to share this information with us this month. IXL Live - Monitor and Remediate on the spot

In the Live Classroom report, you can track class activity as it happens and receive instant updates about what students are working on and who may need help.

When your students are active on IXL, they’ll each appear on a tile in Live Classroom. If you are working with a specific class, use the Class filter at the top to show just those students.

Within each student’s tile, you can see which skill the student is working on, or whether they’re answering questions in the Diagnostic.

For students practicing a skill, you can see their SmartScore in the bottom right corner of the tile. A star will appear next to the skill name if the student is working on a skill you have assigned using the Suggested Skills feature.

This information is available here.

USA Testprep and Google Classroom

This is one tool that has great use in our district. It is being used in grades 2-12 across the county. There are so many ways that you are using this tool, and we are excited to see this tool's use in your classroom.

Check out this site, if you ever need quick answers to questions associated with USATP.

Also, here is a great video on how to integrate USATP and Google Classroom. I know many of you already do this but this question has surfaced multiple times.
