Library Updates and Information
Library Orientation
Megan and I will be working together to deliver library orientation this year for grades 2-6th. We are going to collaborate to help students answer the question "How is the library your friend?" The goal is for students to leave with the understanding that the library is a resource that is available to them in or outside the physical library. I will be teaching many of the resources that are available to them, while Megan will be helping them to set up those resources on their devices in a way that is most convenient for them to access. In addition I will be helping students become familiar with the sections of the "physical" library that are going to be of the most use to them in their new grade.
Please email me with a day and time that works best for your class during the first two weeks of school. The orientation should take an hour.
Thank you as always for all your support of the library. I am looking forward to a great year!
*There is no need for Kindergarten to sign-up for orientation since I will have them at their scheduled time. I will also be in contact with first grade to schedule our normal orientation.
Remind 101
This year I am going to be using "Remind" as a way of sharing library information with students, teachers and parents. You can easily sign-up by texting the code in the image on the left on your phone or you can click on the following link: https://www.remind.com/join/ak9egc. This is a simple and efficient way for me to send out reminders and notifications without having to share personal contact information. If anyone needs help signing up, please let me know and I will be happy to help. Thank you in advance for all those who are able to sign-up.
