Congrats to our 5/6 team who placed 5th in the district.

Our 3/4 team made it to the district finals and placed 2nd! They were amazing!

Cooper Landing Student Linnaea Gossard Named

Alaska Society for Technology in Education's 2021 Student of the Year!

Linnaea has taken 24 live/synchronous classes at eight different Kenai Peninsula School District institutions over the last six years. She is a certified Video Tele Communications (VTC) facilitator and coordinator and currently serves as an intern at KPBSD's VTC Coordinating Program, which she co-created. Congratulations, Linnaea! Valentines Day & Early Release

Due to scheduling conflicts, we will be celebrating Valentines Day on Wednesday, February 17, which is also an early release day. The District has changed the pickup time to 1:45.


Students can have construction paper from school to make Valentine's cards at home. Just let Tommy know. We currently have 11 students.

Skiing

Skiing begins tomorrow! Itinerary is as follows:


11:15 - Leave CL

12:30 - Arrive at Day Lodge - Put on snow gear

12:40 - All CL students will enter Day Lodge together for rentals.

Leave your shoes in orange bag. All other belongings stay in vehicle.

Free ski or wait.

1:30 - 3:30 - Lessons

3:30 - Free ski or go home

Chaperones!!!!

Ski rental must be reserved tonight by 6 pm

  • Cold sack lunch
  • Extra snacks
  • Water bottle
  • Warm outdoor clothing for the day
  • Extra neck gaiter
  • Extra gloves
  • Extra socks

  • Goggles (if you have them)
  • Masks!!!

A friendly reminder that all students out sick, regardless of whether they have been sent home from school, or you have opted to keep them home must follow district protocol for COVID19 quarantining. This means they must quarantine for 10 days AND not return until they have been symptom free for 24 hours OR they may get tested and return to school after a negative test result AND remaining symptom free for 24 hours. Students must be medication free to be considered symptom free.
