I am pleased to report that all District 41 schools will return to the in-person blended model tomorrow, Thursday, January 7. We are preparing a summary of the surveillance saliva screening data that will be posted on our COVID-19 dashboard soon.

What if I received notification that my saliva sample indicates a “probable positive ”?

Individuals who samples indicate that they are a probable positive were notified and asked to take the following steps:

  • Contact their Healthcare Provider for further instructions and guidance

  • Obtain a COVID-19 RT-PCR test from a CLIA Certified lab and notify your school nurse of the result. *Your physician will direct you as to where you can obtain the diagnostic testing.

If the COVID-19 RT-PCR test also comes back positive, the individual would isolate according to COVID-19 Interim Exclusion Guidance. Click here for the IDPH Exclusion Decision Tree. If the COVID-19 RT-PCR test comes back negative and your student remains asymptomatic, please contact the school nurse.

Sign Up for COVID-19 Saliva Screening -- In Person Staff/Students Only

Although this program is voluntary, it is important to have as much participation in the screening program as possible. Our goal is 90% participation to make the best evidence-based decisions. If you already consented and acknowledged the waiver for each of your children in Skyward, you will continue to be provided with test kits. Once you sign up you will be in the system and do not need to sign the waiver again. Click here to sign the waiver in Skyward.

Thank you to all who participated in this COVID-19 screening. If you have any questions, please contact your school office.

Thank you,
